Polartec is a laminated fabric with a layer of polyurethane film located between the outer layers of the double-faced velour. The fabric is very durable, water-repellent, breathable, windproof and quiet. Polynylux provides warmth and is both lightweight and breathable. One of the biggest advantages this fabric has to offer is that it is less expensive than other similar fabrics. It usually comes in three layers: nylon layer, urethane insulating layer and a knit outer shell. This unique design holds the heat in but allows the moisture to escape.
Thinsulate is used in everything from dress outwear to sleeping bags and of course, hunting outwear. It comes in a rich variety of thicknesses and weights. The insulation of the Thinsulate is made out of polyester and olefin blends. W3 Fleece is a very lightweight material that offers warmth. It is used for outwear and it is made of 100% polyester along with waterproof/breathable and windproof laminates. Last but not least, Storm Steal is a layer of polyurethane which is waterproof.
